recent road and trail conditions
Lacamas Park: As of late May 2019, the lilies are done blooming. This is still a good walk, however, especially if you're looking for trees and water on a summer day.
Cape Horn: The lower portion of the trail is closed for bird nesting Feb. 1, 2019 - July 15, 2019. Thus cannot complete the loop. During the partial closure, however, you can still walk from the park and ride to the river overlooks.
Falls Creek Falls: As of mid April 2019, Road 3062 to the trailhead is open.
Table Mountain: As of early 2017, the Bonneville Hot Springs Resort is closed, with traditional parking and trail access unavailable from that location. Must use alternate routes, primarily the nearby crossing of private lands, or by starting across from Bonneville dam and adding several miles via the PCT.
Mt. St. Helens east: As of mid-June 2019, Road 99 is open to Windy Ridge. The hikes include Mt. Margaret, Whittier Ridge/Lakes loop, and Plains of Abraham (Windy Ridge trailhead).
Mt. St. Helens south: As of May 2019, Road 83 is open. Can now drive to the Ape Canyon trailhead and hike up to Plains of Abraham.
Mt. Adams west: As of the end of May 2019, Road 23 is open. Hikes include Crystal Lake and Avalanche Valley.
