recent road and trail conditions
Lacamas Park: The lilies will be blooming again April or so 2020. In the meantime, this is still a good walk during the winter months.
Cape Horn: As of July 16, 2019, the lower portion of the trail is open. Thus you can now complete the entire loop. The lower portion of the trail will be closed again for bird nesting Feb. 1 - July 15, 2020.
Falls Creek Falls: As of January 2020, Road 3062 is gated closed. This means a two mile walk to the actual trailhead. Scheduled to be ungated April 2020.
Table Mountain: Since 2017, the popular Bonneville Hot Springs Resort trailhead is no longer available. Must use alternate routes, primarily the nearby crossing of private lands, or by starting across from Bonneville dam and adding several miles via the PCT.
Mt. St. Helens west: As of January 2020, highway 504 is gated closed several miles prior to the Johnston Ridge Observatory. Thus you can't access the trailhead for Coldwater Peak/Harry's Ridge.
Mt. St. Helens east: As of January 2020, Road 99 is closed to Windy Ridge. The hikes include Mt. Margaret, Whittier Ridge/Lakes loop, and Plains of Abraham (Windy Ridge trailhead).
Mt. St. Helens south: As of January 2020, Road 83 is closed at the sno-park. Thus you can't access the Ape Canyon trailhead and hike up to Plains of Abraham.
Mt. Adams west: As of January 2020, Road 23 is closed. Hikes include Crystal Lake and Avalanche Valley.
