recent road and trail conditions
Lacamas Park: As of late May 2020, the lilies are done blooming. Even without the flowers, this is still a nice walk. Lilies will be blooming again late April '21 or so.
Cape Horn: As of July 16, 2020, the lower portion of the trail is now open. Thus you can complete the entire loop. The lower portion of the trail will close again February 1, 2021, for bird nesting.
Falls Creek Falls: As of December 2020, Road 3062 is gated closed. You can walk the two miles on the road to the trailhead to reach the falls. Scheduled to be ungated again April 1, 2021.
Table Mountain: Since 2017, the popular Bonneville Hot Springs Resort trailhead is no longer available. Must use alternate routes, primarily the nearby crossing of private lands, or by starting across from Bonneville dam and adding several miles via the PCT.
Mt. St. Helens west: As of December 2020, highway 504 is still open to the Johnston Ridge Observatory. Thus you can access the trailhead for Coldwater Peak/Harry's Ridge and Mt. Margaret, but trails will be snow covered.
Mt. St. Helens east: As of December 2020, Road 99 is closed to Windy Ridge. The hikes include Mt. Margaret, Whittier Ridge/Lakes loop, and Plains of Abraham (Windy Ridge trailhead).
Mt. St. Helens south: As of December 2020, Road 83 is closed. Thus you can't access the Ape Canyon trailhead and hike up to Plains of Abraham.
Mt. Adams west: As of December 2020, Road 23 is closed. Hikes include Crystal Lake and Avalanche Valley.
Trapper Creek and Siouxon Creek: As of December 2020, both of these areas are closed due to wildfire rehabilitation.
